Long Service Leave Accrued
Good afternoon
I am in NSW. I need to work out how many hours of long service an employee is owed. Is the following correct
Total gross pay (start of employment until 22/7/26 ) x 0.01667% = TOTAL HOURS

Hi Marist5002,
That’s a good question, especially with long service leave rules being a bit different depending on the setup and state.
For the actual calculation, it’s really best to check with your accountant first so you can be sure the formula you’re using is the right one for your NSW employee and stays nice and compliant.
