Payday Super - Reminders for authorisation

Does anyone know if there is a reminder function or something that can be set up for authorising payday super payments? We had set up payday super early to do a trial, and still been paying super monthly as we previously were, but last month it got missed because the authoriser forgot to authorise it in MYOB - but there was no reminder or anything to flag that it still hadn't been authorised... So it just sat there until we realised, and we ended up having to pay two lots in one month. I just don't want this to happen once July sneaks up on us. Surely there must be a way to avoid this?

Hopefully but don’t hold your breath! They’re very slow to respond.

Exactly! Hence my post. If enough people give the same feedback, hopefully this will change. 🤞🤞

I set up a payment and there was no reminder that it wasn’t authorised 😂  I saw it hadn’t gone through the bank account. But in MYOB it was sitting in the bank account waiting to be reconciled!!

        No reminders.

Yes. I couldn’t find how to contact them online.
But I think it’s guaranteed there’s no reminder.

Oops - typo. “Early in the month”

Yes, not really relative to my post? Might be worth contacting customer support online?

You have to authorise it every payday.

I had hoped to get it done early in the Monty too but MYOB has not yet verified our Authorisors. Been waiting over 15 business days and made phone calls to support, and still no progress.

    Hi CHBA,

Thanks for posting. There isn’t an automatic MYOB reminder specifically for authorising Pay Super / Payday Super batches, so if the authoriser forgets to approve the batch it will just sit there until someone checks the Manage payments / Pay Super area.

A practical workaround is to set up your own reminder outside MYOB (for example a calendar reminder or task scheduled after each pay run so the authoriser logs in and checks for pending super payments to authorize).

    Regards,
    Earl

Thanks, that's easy enough. We're using MYOB only now. Everything else is straight forward, just need to find out how we can get alerts for authorisation reminders so this doesn't happen again! Thanks.

Not sure what system you are using, but since signing up to Pay Super, and the new layout in MYOB Payroll, as you go through doing Payroll, it opens a new screen when you do your Electronic Payments etc and shows all the various steps. If you go back to the original screen there is a link to Pay Super there - it's not a reminder but something I found while getting my head around the changes.
