Payday Super setting date in advance

There has been lots of discussion regarding this topic - however, what is the update from MYOB on setting the feature to set the superannuation payment date?   The majority of us prepare our pays early (either every pay day OR when on holidays) and would like to continue to do so without cash flow issues.  We don't want to be paying super (having funds withdrawn from our bank account), before employees even get their pay.  There has been feedback about this for a very long time - are MYOB listening and are the intending to modify their system to meet the needs of customers?

    Hi,

I Just wanted to echo the urgent need for a feature to set up Payday Super in advance. We are a small business and have a family trip planned in 3 weeks' time (I have been monitoring the MYOB situation for the last 6-8 months to see whether there has been an update on this feature). We will be overseas for 3 and a half weeks, and our employee will remain working during this time. As we are a small business with no admin staff, I am the only person with access to MYOB and will therefore not be able to complete Payday super whilst overseas (we will be in remote areas with limited reception/no wifi).

As a small business, we are concerned about penalties we might incur from the ATO whilst we are unable to submit our employee's super during this time.

It is very disappointing and pretty ridiculous that MYOB has not developed this feature, considering all the feedback I have read on this forum regarding the impact it will have on small businesses, and considering all the time MYOB has had in the lead up to the changeover and since.

Please find a solution as soon as possible. Giving loose/open timeframes and requesting that we "vote on ideas" seems a very weak effort to appease your paying customers.

    Hi Roborigger,

Totally appreciate you asking for a clearer answer. There haven’t been any updates on this feature request or on when it might be implemented. There's no specific timeframe that we can share for whether it would be in the next month, 3 months, or longer. We do encourage users to vote on the Ideas Exchange post Princess shared above, because that’s one of the key places our dev team looks when reviewing feedback on what to include in future enhancements.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

Thanks for the reply.  Can you be a little more specific?  Are you saying that this is NOT something that the team are even working on?  It's surely the most complained about aspect of the pay day super that MYOB would be hearing about.  I hope that comments are taken into account not just "votes" as the place to vote on this may well have been lost in all the outrage.

I would think it very concerning if this issue hasn't even reached the developers for reprogram.  Why would it even have been set up this way to start with?  Surely it made more sense to match it with the payrun dates!

Please provide a more specific answer - ie. is pay day super likely to be corrected to meet payrun dates in the next month, 3 months, or year?  Or is it not yet even in the pipeline.  MYOB need to both listen to their customers and manage expectations with honesty.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi Roborigger,

Your feedback is definitely being heard, and I can understand why this matters so much.

When our development team has capacity to work on software enhancements, there’s usually a prioritisation process that looks at things like customer impact, effort involved, and other competing priorities. All ideas raised here on the Community Forum are shared with our product managers. If something isn’t picked up straight away, it stays in the backlog and can still be considered later on. Hopefully this idea keeps gaining votes, as that can really help with its visibility and prioritisation.

    Cheers,

    Princess
