From what you’ve described, it sounds like it’s just the STP window that’s showing the duplicate, not the actual payroll figures.
Because your Payroll Activity, Payroll Register, and YTD in MYOB all line up, I wouldn’t reverse and re‑process that pay; doing that can actually create a mismatch when everything is already balanced.
Instead, I’d just double‑check the YTDs:
- In MYOB, open the STP YTD verification/employee YTD report and compare it to your Payroll Summary for the year.
- In ATO Online / myGov, look at the employee’s Income Statement YTD, not the monthly STP summary screen.
If all of those YTD figures match your payroll reports, then the correct amounts are being reported to the ATO, and you’re good to go.
