Payroll Categories
How can you remove unused Payroll Categories from current Employee Cards?
I have tried to remove old categories which are not used in the current payroll FY and the following error message pops up: 'Error, one or more payroll categories cannot be deselected.'
We are a 24/7 business with many changing catergories which must be updated for imported payroll co-ordination, so some employees now have over 30 categories to date and currently only use a maximum of 12. These categories are updated and changed by Head office each year so the number will keep growing unless the old, unused ones can be removed.
In previous versions of MYOB the unused categories could be deselected.
Can somebody help with this one please?

Currently within AccountRight, if a payroll category has been used to pay an employee, it cannot be removed from that employee. As such if payroll categories were being added to an employee and the employee paid on these, they would remain on the employee and wouldn’t be able to be deselected
