MYOB does allow you to untick payroll categories from an employee’s card if they no longer apply. However, it’s not possible to fully remove a payroll category from an employee profile if that category has previously been used in any past pay runs. This limitation exists to protect payroll integrity and historical record-keeping, but I agree it can seem more hassle than it should be when you just want things to look neat.
You’re definitely not the only one who’s flagged this, and it’s already been posted in our Ideas board. Please add your vote (or drop a comment), it really helps bump up the wish list. The more interest an idea gets, the higher the chance it’ll land on the developers’ radar. Thank you.
