Two different hourly rates for one pay run?
An employee has completed their 3month probationary period mid month, and a new payrate commences mid month. Can I enter two different hourly rates for the same wage category in one pay run?

Hi GarthR,
Yes, you can. In AccountRight you can split the hours for the same wage category in one pay, e.g. enter some hours at the old rate on one line, then add a second line for the same wage category with the new hourly rate and the remaining hours. That way the single pay run correctly reflects both rates for that period.
And also, If the employee is hourly and has a rate set in their Standard Pay for that wage category, The system won’t let you have two different rates for that same category on one pay. In that case, you’ll need to create a second wage category (pay item) for the new rate, then use one line with the old wage category/rate and another line with the new wage category/rate in the same pay.
