Urgent Request - Database Script Fix from MYOB

Dear Moderators / Techhelp,

I have the following issue, please contact me to resolve ASAP:

In MYOB AccountRight, the (DataNotUniqueError): More than one EmployeePayrollDetails exists for employeeId error occurs because the backend database has accidentally duplicated the payroll profile rows for a specific employee card.

This typically happens if a user checks the "Save for future payruns" tick box during a pay run processing window, and a temporary glitch or double-submission saves the exact same payroll information twice. Once this occurs, MYOB gets confused and crashes or blocks you whenever you try to view the employee card, approve timesheets, or sync data.

đź›  How to Fix It

Because this is a strict backend database integrity issue within the MYOB file, you cannot fix this yourself from the standard front-end user interface. The duplicate row must be removed using a backend database repair script

  • Hi Khayyam,

Thanks for providing those helpful error details. We’ve run a script to help with the employee card issue. If you’re still unable to access it, you can reach out to our support team via Contact Us so they can take a closer look at what’s happening.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

Thanks, its fixed but but its strange that we need to contact MYOB to fix the error, there must be another way so that we can fix it ourselves>?

    Hi Khayyam,

Thanks for letting us know. Glad to hear it’s fixed. This particular error can only be fixed by running a database script on MYOB’s end. As the script needs to be applied directly to the database, it isn’t something that can be run from your side. If the error comes up again, please reach out to our support team so we can check and investigate it further.

    Regards,

    Sai
