Using Advanced Filters in the Payroll Verification screen

Hello,

We currently have 37 different MYOB files for multiple sites and are in the process of condensing it down to the one file. 

I have assigned custom lists to each employee per site to be able to filter it in the payroll processing screen, however as you can only have one pay run in progress at a time, filtering them by a custom list won't be an option. Staff members from all sites will be mixed in together alphabetically but i still want the ability to filter it by custom list in the Preview Pay Details (Payroll Verification) screen so i can do my checks before recording the pay run.

There is an 'Advanced Filter' option on the Payroll Verification report but it is greyed out and will not let me select it. Is there a way to filter it by custom list so i can easily check the pay details by site before recording? There is an option to do it on the reports, but i would need to record the pay run before I would be able to verify the pay data which doesn't help as i need to check the pay details BEFORE recording.
