Cannot create the correct hierarchy of accounts, need to reset opening balance afterwards

Welcome to the Community Forum!

Once you create a category and select its type, it becomes locked and can't be edited. If there are already transactions recorded against the category, you won't be able to modify it. In such cases, you'll need to create a new category with the desired type and level, then transfer the balances.
