Kindly confirm which accounts are under your 3-8000 and 3-9000. If this is for an equity account for current earnings, the account cannot be changed or deleted. If you wish to create the 3-9000 account again, you cannot use the same number. We would highly recommend speaking with your accountant. I think Doreen_P may have misunderstood your post.
You cannot post to 3-9000 as this is a system account. This is used by MYOB during FY rollover. I doubt you have deleted a GJ that was posted to this account, as this too would have been a system GJ. If you have managed to do this somehow, your balances sheet will be out of balance. Try generating a Balance sheet for the end of the next FY and see if Net Assets matches the Equity.

Thankyou to everyone who answered. I MYOB help that I received on the phone after an hour or more was to contact my accountant.
So after being advised by a few people on the forum I have decided to do that. Best way I think.
