Sure, no worries. To fix the balance sheet being out,
- Create a backup of your company file
- Go to Setup > Balances > Account Opening Balances
- Choose an account that currently has a $0 opening balance and jot it down
- Enter $1 as the opening balance and click OK
- Go back to the same screen and change that $1 back to $0, then click OK
- Run the Balance Sheet again and check that it balances
