BPay Reference Showing As Incorrect

I have had a few customers recently advise that when trying to use BPay the reference number is showing as incorrect when trying to pay on their bank website.  I realise that it shows as incorrect when trying to pay a different amount, however these customers are trying to pay the total balance on their invoice. Thank you.

    Thank you for your post.


    Just a quick heads up - when it comes to paying your invoice, it's important to match the exact amount listed. No more, no less. If you're planning to pay via direct bank transfer, just use the reference number found on the invoice. But if you're using OIP, you'll need to use the BPAY reference number that's right there on the PayNow button. Hope this helps keep things smooth!

      As stated in my post, the customer is trying to pay the exact amount listed, however the bank is rejecting the payment stating "incorrect reference number".  They are using the PayNow button.  I have also tried myself and I can confirm that is does reject due to the reference number.
