    Hey mrmiloch,

Sorry about that, we won’t be able to share the activation or file code here. You can reach out to our team and they’ll help you with activation and take a closer look at what’s happening in your file. You can contact them on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via My Account.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

    Hi Sai

I've tried again as per your advised and it is still the same.

Is it possible for you to send the activation file/ code here?

    Thanks

    Hi mrmiloch,

That "serial number or registration code is incorrect" message usually pops up if there's a small typo, and extra space, or if the serial is tied to a different product or file. If you've copied it across, it's worth double-checking there aren't any sneaky spaces at the start and end.

    Regards,

    Sai

    Hi Genreve

I've tried using confirm by phone and putting in the serial number.

I got an error page, "The serial number or registration code is incorrect."

    Hi mrmiloch

    Thanks for the follow-up question.

Just to clarify the link I sent earlier: https://help.myob.com/wiki/display/GEN/Activating+and+confirming+older+MYOB+products#expand-Ifyoucantactivateorconfirmonline
Under “If you can’t activate or confirm online,” you’ll find the exact steps you need.

If you expand that option, you’ll see it’s the instructions for “confirm by phone”, the only difference now is that you don’t need to call support. You can generate the code yourself using:
https://confirmation.myob.com/confirm, and then pop that code into your software following the instructions on that page.

    Regards,
    Genreve

    Hi Genreve

Thanks for the info. However there are only two options when I open MYOB:

    1. confirm online : an error message is displayed "Unable to connect to online confirmation service. you may be not connected to the internet or your firewall may not allow it" (we have no problem with connection or firewall)
    2. confirm by phone :1300 number has been disconnected.

    Any other advise?

    Thank you

    Hi mrmiloch

I can see you’re trying to get your file confirmed so you can get back in and use it again.

Because you’re on an older version, the easiest option now is to confirm it offline. Just follow the steps in this article under “If you can’t activate or confirm online”:
https://help.myob.com/wiki/display/GEN/Activating+and+confirming+older+MYOB+products#expand-Ifyoucantactivateorconfirmonline. That’ll walk you through generating a code you can drop into the software to get it up and running again.

Just a heads up as well: this offline confirmation option is only available until 28 February 2026. After that, activation and confirmation for these older products is being turned off. You can read more about that here:
    https://www.myob.com/au/support/myob-business/product-account/accountright-classic-v19-and-earlier-decommission?productview=Browser

    Regards,
    Genreve
