Base Hourly Calculation Rate Changed by MYOB System during payroll
Background: Apprentice 3rd yr anniversary mid pay cycle. Pay cycle w/ending 20/08/25, Paid as follows: Thur & Fri at Old 2nd yr rate, Mon, Tues & Wed. paid at 3rd yr rate (which is now Base hourly for this employee on his file). Apprentice Base hourly rate set up on employee file is $27.39 (3rd yr rate) in prep for this pay cycle. On Pay item "Old Pay Rate" is the 2nd yr rate $23.18 - employee added to this pay item in prep for this pay cyle. When entering hours in payroll for this employee: 16 hours was put to item "Old Pay Rate" at $23.18 24 hour put to "Base Hourly". However for some reason the MYOB system increased the pay rate to $30.20 per hour, changing it from $27.39 per hour. This has also happened previously when hours for pay item "Annual Leave Taken - Loading" was entered, the MYOB sytem automatically changed the "Base Hourly Rate". Why? Please fix this bug.20Views0likes2CommentsMYOB Team - Leave Request
Afternoon, When trying to add a leave request in the MYOB Teams APP, there are no Leave Reasons available to choose from (see screenshot). There are leave types set up in MYOB (see screen shot). All other employees are able to add leave. There is nothing special with the leave types as they are used for all employees. Help would be appreciated. Kath240Views0likes2CommentsDeath of Employee
Unfortunatly, one of our employees died suddenly. He is owed a sizable amount of Annual Leave and LSL. I believe I cannot pay this out until after probate on his estate, is this correct? Also, are the payments made to his estate tax free? And also, I cannot terminate his employment without wiping all of his entitlements?? Any help on this would be most appreciated.513Views0likes12CommentsPayroll Tax Report
The Payroll Tax Report is returning a N/A result when run by quarter or year. It works fine if I run by month. I would like to be able to run this report for the financial year so that I can reconcile properly at year end. I had the same issue last year and posted about the issue but had no response. I am assuming this is a software issue.116Views1like8CommentsFull-time Under 18 Employee Super
Hi, we have a full-time employee working 38 hours a week. Every week, I record his pay and get a warning that we don't need to pay super and when I check his pay the super is not automatically calculated. I enter it in manually. The payroll category I used is Superannuation Guarantee and his pay is set-up as a salary with 38 hours per week. He is set-up the same as all other employees, the only difference is he is under 18. I've been using MYOB business since 2012 and usually know my way around the software. But for the life of me I'm stumped........Trying to do bank recon and the Multiple payment (for wages) is coming up in my bank feed, it's in the STP and recorded on MYOB but it's not coming up for me to match it with the payment. I've changed nothing since last week or last year ...... why on earth are the payroll transanctions not coming up to match to the bank feeds. I've checked the Linked accounts and all is correct.76Views0likes2CommentsTFN for foreign resident interfering with Super payment
Hi I had a staff member who only worked a few shifts. He is a foreign resident with no TFN. As per the ATO website, I used the TFN 111 111 111 and processed his pay and he paid the higher tax rate. When I go to process his super I get the error saying 'You need to enter a valid Tax File Number for this employee'. He never gave me a tax file number and how he's left. He is using his own superfund - not the business nominated fund. Is there a way I can process his super payment? Thanks in advance58Views0likes1Comment
