G’day Solmates!
Just a quick status update on this one — it’s officially on the shortlist for 2026!
We don’t have a timeline just yet, but we’ll be shouting it from the rooftops once official work begins. Until then, keep the comments and votes coming, because we absolutely want your suggestions in the mix to help us develop the right tools for our Solmates.

Hi Sigrid Solo, it’s now May 2026. Just wondering if there has been any progress on the desktop development? Keen for it

Hey Ransoffice09, so glad to hear you're excited as we are!
While we've got no firm updates to share just yet, our teams are always hard at work on the next generation of Solo features and enhancements.
By interacting with this post, you'll receive updates on this post when we get closer to showtime. You'll be among the first to know, how cool is that? 😎

Would solo work on Bluestacks or another android emulator by chance on laptop, so that its still in android os

I've tried it with Bluestacks, Waydroid and Android Studio. Unfortunately it's blocked on all - likely because it has access to bank accounts and detects these as 'unlocked' devices.
Best workaround appears to be a Bluetooth keyboard, mouse, and adb or Rustdesk as the viewer. (it crashes when using adb keyboard.)
Keeping a dedicated old phone listening on Rustdesk might be the safest workaround for now, but hopefully they bring a desktop version of sorts. I just hope they don't raise the price too much in the process.

Hey CCCMikey2,
Thanks for looking into this.
Unfortunately, we do know that running Solo through emulators or virtual environments isn't currently supported. Because Solo has access to banking and payment features, we don't allow jailbroken or otherwise unsecured devices, which is most likely what's causing these environments to be blocked.
I can definitely see the appeal of a desktop option, though, and I appreciate you sharing the workarounds you've tested. I'll make sure the feedback is passed on to the team.

Hey Gonefishn Solo was built for your smartphone, so you'll get the best Solmate experience if you stick with your phone.

It has some of the worst UX and UI design I have seen in an app. This is coming from a senior software engineer and designer.
There is no real reason why the app cannot be accessed in the browser, it is React Native.
Possibly the worst experience is being timed out of a session whilst mid-invoice creation, losing every single line item, there is no reason for this. For some invoices, there are so many line items assigned to tickets, it is tiresome using the phone to add these.
The difficulty in accessing subscription pricing and altering the current subscription is a deliberate anti-pattern not possible within the app but only online, hidden amongst deep menuing.
To find existing unpaid invoices, or alter saved invoices requires "money in" -> "view all income" -> tapping on an invoice. These invoices should be front and center on the home page.
Edited, open invoices should be automatically saved as a draft once line items are entered, there is no sane reason for an invoice in progress to not be a draft.
