MYOB SOLO is a ripper idea and bloomin' handy when you're out and about, but let's not pretend we all want to live life through a phone screen. This needs to be on desktop and mobile. There's something oddly satisfying about getting home, firing up the laptop, and squaring away the day's numbers. Phone goes on charge, brain goes into admin mode.
Plus, laptop time is shareable time. It's how you show your teenager the basics of accounting without their eyes glazing over, or sit at the table while a little one colours in beside you, hands you invoices, or "helps" scan receipts. That's peak Aussie work-life balance right there.
Being stuck on a phone isolates you. A laptop invites you back into the room. We're Aussies, you're Aussie (well, sorta, I know US company KKR owns MYOB now), but let SOLO work the way we actually live and work, not just on the run.
