As most of the MYOB Essentials customers, i use MYOB OnTheGo on my smart phone (with card reader) to make my day to day running of a mobile business easier.
There are however some serious features which is lacking in the current version of the OnTheGo app:
- You can Invoice but not make a Quote? You can also not change a quote made into an invoice. This is a pretty basic feature which i would have never believed was not already implemented in your first ever release.
- To be able to record expenses as you go. This is also one of those moments when using the app where you realise how restrictive the app really is. For an app that is called OnTheGo you would think recording simple receipts etc would be pretty standard.
- Cannot update suppliers on the go, or create them. That is also a little disappointing.
Other comparable solutions on the market has this down pat already. I do understand that the OnTheGo app was created to be simple, but as it is right now it is simple to its own detriment, I do hope that the features i listed above is on the way and already in the pipeline as the product as it is today is not very handy at all, as i still have to go back to the office and do a lot of the work. Especially having to go back to the office or pull out my laptop to create a simple quote when onsite with the customer is something I would like to see ASAP.
