Opt-out of Benefit program in Flare

I like the option to use MYOB for electronic onboarding and had noticed the tick box for flare benefits ticked by default. I always unticked this as we do not wish to be a middleman for services or benefits that are unvetted by us. It seems that Flare is still getting the information and may contact staff for offers even if we have unticked the box during the invite.

 

I also find it objectionable to have this ticked by default. This should be opt-in and not opt-out. 

Please change this to prevent data leaks now or in the future.

    I've added your account to the list of users keen to turn off Flare benefits for employees. This has also been raised with our developers. While there's no set timeframe yet, rest assured— you'll receive an email update from us when there's any news or progress on this.

  • I  just used the update details button for the first time this year and staff are asking me about Flare, which I knew nothing about. I would like an opt out button. After doing Cyber training, staff have been really good asking if I sent a details update from MYOB, but then this Flare thing comes up also. I would like that option removed as well.

    I agree - this is an invasion on our employees information and privacy.  A third party should not be involved in our payroll process.  We should be able to opt out.

    100% Agree it is rude that this has been attached to staff details. 
    I have recieved staff complaints as to how thier details were passed on. 
    It should be a OPT in option and when the selection is not ticked it should not still be sending staff details to a third party

  • Agreed, do not want anything to do with Flare for employees or ourselves.
    Should absolutely be an optional tick box that still doesn't send info to Flare.

  • I would like my company to have FLARE TURNED OFF also. I find it appalling that staff information is passed onto a third party. We NEVER consented to this. Please turn off

    I would like to add my voice to this request for an option to turn this off by default please. 

     

    As it stands the option to untick employee benefits is at the bottom of the dialogue box, and it's really easy to miss that you haven't removed the tick before you hit next. 

     

    We never asked for employee benefits, we don't want it, and I don't have employee permission to disclose their details to a third party.
