Hello Manita
Thank you for concisely expressing the concerns of many MYOB users.
I am horrified that MYOB has removed the ability to store backups offline. I have read MYOB's reasons for removing this facility and none of those reasons make sense.
I hope that MYOB comes to its senses.
Sincerely
Jeni
Hi Doc,
Apparently FGH Tables can change an AR2026.6 file back to AR2026.5 so a MYOB server backup can be opened offline without any issues.
Obviously best solution would be for MYOB to re-instate even for read-only offline access.
Regards
Gavin

Hi gavin12345
Yes I had heard of that service but it predicates on being able to get and download your backup which we can no longer do easily - and if we go through support and get a paid backup copy - not quick - we can't use it and open it until it is rolled back assuming this service is available on any copy after 2026.5.
I am investigating being able to do the same thing - but time is not on my side - I can open the 2026.5 data file and have successfully altered parameters without AR SE throwing a wobbly.
My biggest gripe at this juncture is the inability to backup to a local drive anyway to get a copy of our datafile.
Regards The Doc
