SGC on Bonus payment

We wish to process an annual bonus which we have confirmed with the ATO will be included in SGC.  How do we select the Bonus payroll category to be included in Gross Wages so that the SGC is calculated automatically?

    Hi TaniaMc 


    To ensure that a payroll category is included in superannuation calcualtions you would complete the following steps:

    1. Navigate to Payroll>>Payroll Categories
    2. Select Superannuation
    3. Select the desired superannuation category
    4. Ensure that the calculation basis is set to be Gross Wages
    5. Select the Exempt button, and ensure that the wage category is NOT ticked in this window

    Using the above process will ensure that the superannuation calculation looks at all the categories and that you haven't exempt it from calculation on that individual category level.
