Sick Leave Accrual

Hi.  Had something today which I haven't noticed before, wondering if it was because of the upgrade.  I processed the payroll for one of our employees today and he was to be paid 7.6 hours sick leave.  As always, I ran a report to see if he had available hours and it showed he had 8.28 hours.  But when I put the 7.6 hours into the sick leave column, I received a warning saying:

Paying this leave will result in a negative leave balance

Current Balance -3.122hrs

Accrued this pay:  1.462

Leave being paid  7.6 hrs

Projected Balance - 9.26 hrs

I don't understand why this is the case. Its never happened before.  The entitlement report I did was for the period 1/7/19 - 30/6/20 (which I always do with no problem) and it shows he has the following

Holiday Leave   35.25 Open  139.38 Acc  149.73 Taken  24.90 Avail

Sick Leave         4.06 Open   69.64  Acc  65.42  Taken  8.28  Avail

Can you please help with this matter

Re: Sick Leave Accrual

Hi @Helen_Keegan

Thanks for your post. We are aware of an issue in 2020.2 where paying employee leave is generating the message Paying this leave will result in a negative leave balance for <insert employee name>. This issue is currently being investigated by our developers.

The warning message is being displayed incorrectly and the underlying figures will be correct. If a user proceeds with the pay the employee’s figures will be updated correctly and they will have the correct balance displayed on the pay slip. Reports and the employee's card file will also show the correct figures after the pay has been processed.

As long as the employee has enough leave to cover the amount of leave being taken, the warning message can be safely ignored. It is only the warning message that is displaying incorrectly.

Please let me know if you need further help.
