Please advise me how to choose "BUILD" or "BUY" option...!

Question

Hi All,&nbsp;When I create an invoice with insufficient&nbsp; on-hand item quantity, MYOB does not allow me to choose&nbsp;"BUILD" or "BUY" option, (it chooses the option "BACKORDER" as default).&nbsp;Please advise me how to choose the option "Build" or "Buy".&nbsp;Thank you very much.&nbsp;Kenny

Hi&nbsp;KennyLE&nbsp;&nbsp;MYOB will not allow you to Sell stock you do not have. You need to first adjust the on hand quantity. You can do this:via&nbsp; a purchase (or a Buy - but only if you have entered the Primary Supplier on the Item Profile - which it seems you gave not)via an inventory adjustmentvia a Build (but only if you have an autobuild set up for this item - which it seems you do not)via a BackOrder&nbsp;&nbsp;You might want to take a look at some of the Support Articles, for example&nbsp;Inventory management in AcountRight&nbsp;&nbsp;RegardsGavin

I'm sorry to hear about your issue with inventory items. Generally, the option to build or buy the item appears when we create an invoice that does not have enough on-hand stock. In your situation, you have enough on-hand stocks for the item but still, the invoice is asking you to backorder the items.&nbsp;

May I collect screenshots that point out the issue (item on hand quantities, error message, prompts after creating the invoice)?&nbsp;

Hi&nbsp;gavin12345&nbsp;and&nbsp;Genreve_S&nbsp;,&nbsp;Thank you very much for yours replies.&nbsp;To be more specific, my case is as follows:- The on-hand quantity of Item 1 is 10, I create a Sale Order of Item 1 with a quantity 15, it is OK.- Once change the sale order into INVOICE &amp; "Record", a table with 3 options "Build", "Buy" and "Backorder" (ticked already as a default) appears, it does not allow to choose "Build" or "Buy" option.&nbsp;* I want to create an invoice with the quantity 15 (although the on-hand quantity is 10, insufficient).** I wonder if the inventory quantitiy of Item 1 will be showed as a negative number "-5" or not?&nbsp;1. How can I choose "Build" or "Buy" option?2. How can I issue an invoice with an oversale quantity (Not split invoice)?&nbsp;I am looking forward to yours reply.
