Can I cancel first pay processed in next financial year to access and fix  incorrect history in prior year?

Thanks for your post. Once the payroll year has been rolled it's not possible to roll back to the previous year. To fix incorrect pay history you will need to restore a back up.

I am afraid my client has not done backups.  They use desktop accountright premier and I do the payroll through the web browser. MYOB is only used for payroll for the business.  
 
  I noticed you mentioned to someone else on the site that MYOB may be able to do a backup retrieval.  I read into that and it says you can only do a retrieval if MYOB is used online, is that correct?  In this case it is desktop, even though I use through web browser.
 
If I reverse and re-enter the pay run that there was a glitch in when I recorded and filed with ATO, then that is not doing anything as Payroll Activity Report is correct.  It is the payroll history report and STP verification report that is incorrect.  
 
Is there any other way to access a backup retrieval through the back of the system or even access history.  ?  
 
I cannot see how this can be fixed without a backup retrieval

Hi @Cherylp 

 

If you can access the file through the browser it is online so you'll be able to use the back up retrieval service. Online files can be accessed from the desktop and through a browser.

 

The YTD verification report and Summary of payments reports pull the YTD amounts from the employee>>Pay History so if that has been manually changed the only way to fix STP reports is change it back to what it was. Any changes need to be processed through payroll so that all reports and the employee card>>Pay History are correct.
