Income Tax Return online lodgement

Hi It now appears that prior tax returns (2010 and earlier), which could be prepared on MYOB Accountants Office can not be lodged under the new lodgement program now that ELS has ceased. Other than producing them on paper and lodging manually is there a work around for the lodgement of older returns? Will MYOB (or ATO) be updating their software to allow the lodgement of old returns?     Thanks for your question, and welcome to the Community Forum!

     

    The MYOB PLS software is designed to allow lodgement of returns that are created via SQL. For those returns that are not created via SQL (for example, AO Classic returns for Accountants Office users, and non-SQL returns for Accountants Enterprise users), the option to lodge electronically stopped once ELS stopped.

     

    The option to convert to Accountants Enterprise, and add on the extra years (from 2005) is available. However, if you only have a few earlier returns to lodge via paper, the benefits may not be enough to justify the cost. The majority of practices find they only have a few returns they need to do via paper.
