I have a suggestion for MYOB. Finding it a little irritating with a couple of things on the payment page. Firstly, as a small business most of our payments of bills are done through BPay. When making a payment, BPay gives you a 9 digit receipt. Unfortunately MYOB only allows 8 digits which means I can never accurately type in a receipt number. I think there is a great opportunity to be able to insert a notes line, similar to a transaction or header line, within the description area on an invoice. This line or information would not appear when the invoice is printed or emailed. I believe this function would help so many businesses in there various processes and communication internally between staff. I feel the comments section is not practical enough for this function as it has very poor visibility when on the enter sales page and does not appear under each line item. Hi MYOB developers,   Nice work in supporting headers in the Essentials Chart of Accounts.   Could you please now include the header in all account pick lists so we know which account to pick.   For example, as I have now created header accounts to group their motor vehicle expenses, my clients will have two accounts called Repairs & Maintenance.  One will be for their equipment and the other for their motor vehicles and it would be good to be able to know which account you are selecting.   I realise that the account number is included in the pick list, but my clients are not familar with the concept of referring to the account number.   The same exists for depreciation provision on the balance sheet where I have grouped their Plant & Equipment, Motor Vehicles and Furniture & Fittings into separate groups.   Please let me know if you would like more details.   Alan   "Include header in all account pick lists" ... Unsure if this has been mentioned by someone else however as an auto repair business, we provide quotes and invoices to our customers and obviously buy parts for the repairs. I would be great to be able to link the purchased items with my own item number rather than creating a whole new item just for onsell purposes. We obviously dont want the suppliers item number on the quotes and invoices but it would be great to link the two together to show buy VS sell margins and even be able enter lets say a 25% markup which pulls that price across to the code when entering on the quotes.    At this point in time, we have to enter the suppliers item as one, recreate another item as the one that we put on our quotes and provide our own markups without record of what the markup is and profit margin.    In addition to this, our suppliers are quite cheeky at times and significantly change the prices each time goods are purchased. When entering an employee can we have a save button even though not all the information has been entered.  Very annoying you start entering an employee and something takes your focus away and you lose everything that has been entered, you come back and need to start again.  Wasteful use of time.  Hi team, Posting on behalf of a partner & client. Relating to Essentials Accounting, invoices sent out online to end customers. "Is there a way of changing now due (In the top right hand corner) to due on and date as people are getting confused with the invoice being due now." Even when the due date is not yet reached, the amount located on the top right hand side still shows as 'Now due', causing confusion with end customers. Hi  We try to use your mobile application more while we are on the go. We provide cash points to our clients and these points can be deducted from their next purchase as dollar values. We can put negative value on web based however we cannot put negative value with mobile app in the unit price field. I would love to have a section on the Dashboard underneath the PAYE and Kiwisaver Owing category where MYOB calculates your ACC owing, based on your payroll that you are paying. Perhaps you input your employees ACC code as you enter each employee, then at the end of each payroll it calculates how much money you should set aside for your ACC bill at the end of the year. Hi,   It would be great if we can have multiple lock dates in MYOB Essentials Products - particularly with recent changes with MYOB Essentials Connected Ledger and migration from Banklink for Client & Advisor/Bookkeper (two dates).    Occasionally when using MYOB AE Workpapers/Statutory Reporter on live files we find clients accidently delete transactions, post them or edit them in previous financial periods unknowingly. Effectively causing various balance issues and variances in financial reports.    While we could set MYOB Essentials lock date to 30 June 2017, this would prevent MYOB AE Workpaper Journals being posted so it would not be practical when working on a set of accounts to lock the period. The obvious work around is to unlock the period > Post Journals > lock the period again. This also would be the same when making changes directly into the MYOB Essentials File. However such addition would alleviate the need to do this.    This feature however is in Xero, as below which only allows Advisors to make changes and prevent the client from accidently making various changes. Another note is that Xero prevents the client access to change the lock dates (unless they set themselves as Advisor) so this cant be adjusted inadvertently. In Essentials On Line it would be great to be able to add supplier credit terms. At present when entering a bill it flags to a random date of it's own but as most bills are paid 20th of the month following or last day of the month following it would be great to be able to flag that option rather than having to change the date for each bill entry.   "supplier credit terms: End of Week + X days" ...
