Linking a receipt can't be this hard
I can't believe the process I have established to link a receipt to a transaction is so hard, so I must be doing something wrong. Please help (I have a similar task on MYOB with another company, and it is easy - they have an app that just works) Buy something on the company card, get a receipt Upload the receipt to 'draft expenses' using XERO ME wait for the bank to process the transaction. Allocate the transaction ('reconcile') go back to the transaction ('account transactions', select transaction. Hello Adrian, I have a myob business subscription, and cant see the card file command. I am not sure what the transactions recorded against the two personal contacts are - that is what I am trying to find. We have a member 'john' who is also known as 'jack'. Someone has created 2 different contacts for the same person. I want to change the transactions on the wrong name to the correct name, and delete the wrong contact. I have 2 personal contact entries that are the same person, so I want to delete one. When I try, MYOB tells me both have transactions recorded, so cannot be deleted. Hello Melissa, I think you have a misunderstanding of the problem. I am trying to find transactions in MYOB that don't have a bank feed associated with them, not a bank feed without a match in MYOB. If the bank reconcilliations don't match, there is a problem. To fix it I have to print out all transactions allocated in MYOB to a particular account, and then try to manually match them with the list of transactions from the bank. I usually find I have allocated a spend money to the wrong account, or the bank transaction (eg a cash deposit) is split into 2 spend money transactions. This is a pain, and happens regularly. Ignore my comment from prev. The transactions are spend money transactions. I can find them in Banking/Find transactions. They don't appear in the Banking/Bank transactions (which come from the bank feed), because a bank payment hasn't been made yet (as I said, due to an error eg incorrect date or account).
