We Won Big-Canstar Blue Most Satisfied Customers Award 2023!

Thanks for the acknowledgement PriyaSelvaraj . I won't go into too much detail because I've spent a lot of time talking with support and they've confirmed that to continue using MYOB the way I used to and want to, I will need to constantly chop and change between the desktop and browser versions. Things that have broken or been removed from the desktop version aren't being fixed because there are so-called workarounds in the browser version. However, since a significant number of features I use are also not available in the browser version, I can't make a full switch. Neither product is fully functional so I'm stuck using both systems to do simple tasks. I cannot think of any other company that would consider that an acceptable level of service. It's like going to a restaurant, placing and paying for an order but being told you have to pick part of it up at a different branch of the restaurant chain. I'm in the process of evaluating your competitors and am looking forward to learning a new program after 25+ years of using MYOB exclusively. I honestly cannot understand how this award was won.

I am suprised by your responses and the fact that any award was given. I have now been using account right for over 18 years and during this time the service has completley declined. The call centers are appalling and know one can assist you with even the easiest of issues.

I now have the same issue as everyone else, being forced to sue the cloud platform. 

The cloud platform wouldhave been good if it had ANY similarites to account right platform. It is not easy to navigate and functions are named comletly different hindering the consumer with time wasting activites to try and obtain information that we can find in seconds on account right.

How MYOB have won anything is MIND boggling to me and as someone previous stated, they surley did not survey any of the 200000 peple in this community.

The Canstar Award should be a matter of Celebration.

I do not understand how any business can get 5 stars in all Categories.

It is not possible to keep all your Customers at 100% satisfaction.

My grandfather started the family business in 1908. Computers came in the 1980's and the typesetting industry ceased to exist

One would suggest that the business was respected as they listened to customers,, met daily deadlines, and fixed issues quickly.

I have continued this motto in the 25 years that I have had my bookkepping/tax business.

It could be said that posting the Canstar Award on the Community Forum is a business error.

Has MYOB conducted a survey of MYOB users and a survey of those that use the Community Forum?

There are many ways that MYOB and MYOB Business could be improved.

Pricing is about right (except for AccountRight).

Product design of MYOB Business could be substantially improved.

Listening to Customer Issues and fixing them is clearly a bugbear.

My Firm has lost existing and potential business due to the success of Xero.

One can only hope that the market share and business performance of MYOB improves in the future.

We're simply stunned that MYOB would win any award for any product given the slack and generally hopeless "support' that's offered to us, the customer who's paying for the privilege.  Did anyone receive any compensation for the recent downtime?

We're moving away this dreadful unsupported product to SAP B1, highly recommended, and at the same price as MYOB.

Thank you. I had typed and deleted a number of incredulous responses since receiving the original post notification. None of my comments were as polite as yours. I don't think anyone in this forum could have been one of the surveyed users.

Most Satisfied Customers Award - surely you jest......

The TINY surveyed sample size makes this award dubious at best

So not even all of those 628 Australians use MYOB

MYOB perhaps this forum, full of your often very unhappy customers is not the best place to be crowing about dodgy 'awards'

MYOB AccountRight used to be an efficient,  powerful and fairly comprehensive accounting product that many professional accountants and bookkeepers used because it was built for purpose.

Today's product seems to have been 'dumbed down' because MYOB (or their overlords) have decided that it is more profitable to be a business management tool with so many bells and whistles that any one will use.  Hence it no longer uses traditional and specific accounting terms or follows well established accounting/bookkeeping practices.

The philosophy seems to be that if the data does not come from a bank feed, it didn't happen but if it did happen, then it is very difficult to manually create the transaction.  Gone are the days of having a system that is efficient for entries that need to be manually entered.

I find as a professional user this is very frustrating.

Yep, I know exactly what you mean.

Nobody on support seems to know much about AccountRight any longer and I had the experiance yesterday of being told by a client when they phoned for support the person they spoke with said the solution to their problem was to use the Web Browser version.

In fact, that was *exactly* the wrong answer.  Sigh.....

MYOB appears to have 2 distinct products - AccountRight and MYOB Business.

AccountRight seems to be in wind down mode and MYOB Business is MYOB preferred product.

Please comment.

Being a old timer, AccountRight is easier to use.

Which product did Canstar rank?

Maybe MYOB is on an upward trend.

Agreed 110%.  How can a poorly supported application that's full of continuous bugs, and overpriced win this is a matter that makes you wonder just how worthless these Canstar awards really are.
