Importing Xero to Client Accounting

I am trying to import a Xero file into Client Accounting by exporting an MYE file and importing into Client Accounting. However an error message occurs as follows:

"invalid file format, Please use the appropriate file format and try again"

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Kind Regards,

Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

The most common issue with Xero import files is that there are characters instead of numbers in the account codes.

To check this rename the MYE file to a zip file. Open the Zip file and check the MYOBAO.txt file for transaction which have account codes that contain letters.
