Unable to find bank transactions in Bank Reconciliation Window

I had my bank reconciled up until 24 May 2024, and then this morning when I went to complete the past week, the reconciliation was all out.  I unreconciled all the way back to 31 Dec 2023 to try and resolve this, but there was still a significant balance out - to move forward I included a reconciliation amount.  Then half way through, the reconciliation required me to duplicate a receipt (not showing on the bank statement), but to move forward, I did this - I assumed that this would resolve at the end.   Now I am at 21 March 2024 and there are no more transactions available to reconciliation purposes, although if I look in the Bank Register, they are all sitting there.  If I jump to Reconcile Accounts at 24 April 2024, the deposits are there, but the withdrawals are not.  If I go into Bank Register and select a transaction during the 'missing period' in the Reconciliation Screen  it states that the 'journal has been reconciled'.  It does not have sense that if I have unreconciled, why have these transactions have not unreconciled.   The transactions are in the correct Bank Account, with the correct dates and are as per the Bank Statement (printed).   Can anyone assist please?

    Hi elizabethpoff

     

    It looks like you undid the reconciliation to December 2023 to fix it. The reconciliation closing balance includes the opening balance, previously reconciled transaction amounts, and the transactions marked in the reconcile accounts screen. It sounds like there might be some hidden transactions in the window. I recommend checking out the steps in this other thread—it might help resolve your issue.
