Upgrade V19 Basics to ARL

Hi MYOB,

I have been in contact with my MYOB account manager, who helped me obtain a new serial number for ARL online.  He said to upgrade via the Upgrade Assistant (refer to the screenshots)

I have a backup of the V19 file - not sure what version

I have the old serial number
I have the new serial number under my practice subscription while I sort out the upgrade.  I will transfer it back to the client later.

How do I get this dinosaur V19 file into ARL as quickly as possible?

I tried the chat line, and between that and what the account manager advised, nothing aligns.

I gather over the comming months this will be a task we will be undertaking as MYOB partners so hoping for some clear instructions (that work).

Warm regards

Renae

That conversion process can definitely be finicky when it's done manually. For a v19 file, the quickest path now is to lodge the migration request here rather than rely on the old Upgrade Assistant steps: v19 migration request form.

You’ve already done the right thing by keeping a backup. Once the request is in, the team can check the file and let you know the next step.

Thanks, Genreve. This is excellent. I have submitted the form.  Can you tell me the time line for upgrades so I can give client a rough estimate i.e. 24 hours or 5 working days?

    Hi Cloud_Mind,

    Thanks for submitting the form.

As a rough guide, once the backup file has been uploaded and received by the migration team, these upgrades are typically completed in around 3 business days. If the team needs to review anything with the file first, they’ll let you know, but that’s the usual timeframe to set expectations.

    Cheers,

    Hi Genreve_S

Thank you. I submitted the file via the link they provided.  I loaded it to the datafile dropzone, and then I'm not sure what happened.

The email from MYOB states, "You should receive a confirmation email shortly after a successful upload."

Yet I have not received an email confirmation.   So not sure if it was submitted or not?

    Regards

    Hi Cloud_Mind,

Thanks for the update. The main thing is that you were able to upload the file using the dropzone link provided. If the confirmation email still hasn’t shown up, the best next step would be to reply to the case email or send me a private message with your case number and I can check it from my side.

    Cheers,

    Princess
