Change to company reporting period

Question

Hi, how do I change a company's reporting period from (July to June) to (January to December).

The file is in the current 2024 June to July financial year, but I need to change it to January to December 2024. When I try to edit the financial period, I am given no option other than to change to a financial period of July to June 2025.

The company, which is a not for profit, has received special permission to alter their reporting period.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.
