Discrepancies in figures when accessing reports

Hi,

Why can I bring up a report in AccountRight on my desktop and the figures are different to the exact same report that I access in the web browser?

For example Net Profit on desktop $178560 and Net Profit on web browser is $245732. Both reports are set to include all transactions including year-end adjustments. GST owed for the period is $61761 so it's not the gst component causing the issue.

What am I not understanding?

Appreciate  your feedback.

  • Thanks Mike,

I started going through each item and figures were very different for a lot of accounts. I decided to switch accounting methods then switched back again on the web browser report and the figures changed to match desktop figures.

Maybe it  just needed a technical kick up the rear!!

    Thanks for your response.

Hi Jkoziari , which receivable reports are you using?

The "unpaid invoices" report displays the current unpaid balance of all invoices dated up to the specified date. This report is "as of today" report, not backdated.

The receivables reconciliation report with tax is a back-dated report, and the total should therefore agree to the GL account balance, per the reconciliation at the end of the report. This report (expanded) includes aging details.

For obvious discrepancies, the moderator's suggestion should be followed through.
