We currenty have an internal process for a human to take backups of our online AR files and save them to a location that meets our backup requirements. Idealy we would like to be able to backup our online accounts right files via an API call.

Since MYOB doesn't currently offer a direct API for automating the backup of online AccountRight files, you might want to look into third-party tools or services that can interact with the AccountRight API to extract data and create backups.
Automated backup processes for AccountRight files would indeed be a valuable feature, so I recommend posting this as a feature suggestion on our Ideas board. This way, other users can vote on it, and our developers can consider it for future updates.
