Cannot backup files

I am unable to backup my files. MYOB continuously says it cannot find the path. Even when I manually find the path for it, to wont backup. Has anyone else had this issue?

MYOB, please help me resolve this issue, thank you

  • Hi merleneh

Is your MYOB file online or offline? What error message are you getting?

Also try setting the backup location is on a fixed drive on the computer you are using, as a test location the best place is your desktop as this avoid permission issues. Once you get it to save there you can try a different location. Avoid mapped drives, external drives, usb's etc.

    Regards

Hi Gavin, thanks for your reply. I have both online and offline files. This is happening with offline files when saving to my computer. I have been saving to this same place for years, this has only happened in the last few months. I have had our IT guys look at it but they can’t fix it. It is a real problem. I did see some other people were having the same issue, so I am hoping that MYOB steps up and fixes whatever it is.

      Thanks

      Kind regards

        Hi merleneh,

Thank you for your response, and my apologies for the late response.

So that we can investigate this further with you, could you confirm the exact error you are getting? Also, could you please provide a screenshot of that error when it occurs? Is the file you are trying to back up stored locally on that computer, or is it being accessed across a network?

In some cases, we have seen files opened across a network experience issues similar to what you encounter when trying to back up a file that has been opened across a network. To resolve this, you would either need to access the file and back it up on the server or copy the file onto that computer and open it from there to back it up.

Please let me know if you need further help.

        Cheers,

        Princess
