This menu is only active when it 'applies'. It does not apply to the command centre. Open the transaction/account/job/item etc you want to edit/delete, then this menu item becomes active. If your Preferences are set to allow Reversal only, then the delete option will show Reverse instead.
Also if deleting a purchase, you must first delete any subsequent transaction that relates to the purchase, for example if you have used Pay Bills to pay the purchase, the payment must be deleted before you can delete the Purchase.

That didnt work at all :(
But I worked it out myself. Simply right click on the purchase screen and then the "delete purchase"option becomes visable. I hope this helps someone else searching for this problem because your advice was not correct for this question', but thanks for the fast reply
