Items List Access to Edit

Hi there, does anyone know what access I need to be able to edit for Item list? I have contact MYOB help desk, but nothing works, they don't event can confirm what authority or roles have higher access to trigger this function.

My manager has checked all, and I have all read and edit access but still not working for MYOB back end. I have Sales, Purchases, and Inventory roles

    Hi Rose2211,

That sounds like a tricky one — especially since your manager has already double-checked all your access. Sometimes when a user has both Admin and other roles assigned, MYOB can get a bit mixed up about which permissions to apply.

Might also be worth trying a quick reset — removing and re-adding your user access. That’s helped in a few cases where Access gets stuck on the permissions side.

Here’s the help article on setting up roles, just in case you want to double-check the permissions again:
    🔗 Set up roles

  • Hi Earl,

We have tried all best possible ways, restarted the user, removed inventory role and only keep purchasing role, but still didnt work, is there any other suggestion? What role has higher access so maybe we can only have that role tick to be able to turn on this function?

    Can you please advise,

    Thanks

    Hi Rose2211,

Great job exploring different fixes, like restarting the user and tweaking the roles. Another way to try is setting their access to administrator only. If that's not necessary for that user, just select Inventory Management under the company file roles, and be sure to tick all the boxes under the Manage Roles section within the Inventory Management tab.
