Roll over file End of Financial Year

Good Morning

I was planning on rolling over my FYE 30.06.2025, however have noted that when I go to backup the file it now only backs up to the cloud - this is rather scary in my mind to be honest.

If I change this setting in the security tab, just for this particular activity so I have a back up of the data on my network; and then change back so the backups are again in the cloud, do I lose access to the cloud backups prior to me changing the setting under the security tab?

Thanks

Leanne

  • Hi LDOG,

That's completely understandable, especially with EOFY coming up, having a solid backup you can see and control makes a big difference. Good news is you won't lose your existing cloud backups if you switch the setting. Those backups will stay right where they are and you can still access them later on. If you temporarily change the setting to save a backup locally (like to your network), it'll just create a new backup in that location. Then when you switch it back to cloud backups, it'll simply continue saving future backups to the cloud again. Nice and seamless. Here's a link with a bit more info on how backups work and how to manage them: Backing up and restoring company files.
