BAS not uploading to ATO

This my grandson's first BAS with his first business. He tried to file the BAS with MYOB, and got this message: 'We can't retrieve your activity statements from the ATO. Looks like your ABN Branch reg number is incorrect....'  He doesn't have a Branch, so that's not the problem. What could it be? We checked his ABN and it's correct. Please help

    Hi HarleyB,

     

    Congratulations on your grandson first business! The error message you met shows an issue with the Branch number. Make sure to double-check all the information entered, including the ABN and its Branch number settings in MYOB. Since his business doesn't have a Branch number, it’s best to contact the ATO to figure out what workarounds they may have to resolve the error. You may also check this post from ATO Community as this might have the same concern with your grandson.

    Thanks. The solution was to enter the Branch as 003, as someone else found. It doesn't make sense, but it worked!
