Calculated closing balance error

Hello,

 

I set up MYOB from 1 July 2022, there are no previous transactions before this date. Opening balance for the bank account has been set from the bank statement. When I try to reconcile the bank on 01/07/2022 there is a $3,472.67 difference, even when there are no transactions ticked. I have reconciled every transaction. Where has this balance come from?

 

I have tried to force the reconcilation and undo it as suggested in another post but that didnt work either.

    Thanks for posting your concern in the forum. 

     

    I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties reconciling your accounts for 1/7/2022. In my understanding, you can't reconcile the accounts if you haven't marked any transactions check for the closing statement date. If you are reconciling with the statement as the conversion date, there are likely no transactions to be marked checked in the reconcile accounts window. 

     

    Also, may I know if you already reconciled any other dates before you tried to reconcile 1/7/2023? Feel free to send us screenshots and more information for us to help further.
