Hi RitaMay,
Thank you so much for your post. If the transaction is already been reconciled you'll need to undo the bank reconciliation first, before you can delete the entry and re-reconcile the account.
I would suggest to show your support here on our Product Ideas page: Warning before changing reconciled transaction
Please do let me know if you have further queries.

if I attempt to delete the reconciled transaction by error it does not display the warning
is it how it meant to be??
Accounts Right had it in place, and now this option has gone,
Please address this issue with your IT team,
thanks

Hi RitaMay
Thank you for your reply and for your patience. Usually, once transactions have been reconciled, if you've set a lock date in your file, this will automatically bring up a pop-up message telling you that the transaction is already reconciled and you can't make changes. This warning usually shows up in AccountRight.
However, in MYOB Business/Essentials, we don't have this feature available yet. I will pass this feedback on to the relevant team, and you can also show your support for our Product ideas.
Please let me know if you require further assistance. I'm happy to help.
Cheers,
Princess
