turn off automatic matching

I don't know where else to post this, so let's try here.  My bank feeds are fine but it doesn't matter how often I turn OFF Automatch in Rules, MYOB Business keeps automatching my transactions!  Even when I "unmatch" each individual transaction, it automatically automatches almost instantly!  How do I stop this from happening - permanently?  Thank you.

    I've moved your post to the right board over here. Once you've turned on the automatic matching and categorising setting it tries to match transactions from your feed with existing MYOB transactions automatically. Therefore, it's essential to disable these features to prevent automatic matching. For more info, check out this link. If MYOB continues to automatically match transactions even after you've turned off these settings, your best bet is to get in touch with our support team through any of the options available on our page.

    Hi, I have turned off all bank rules to stop automatically matching bank transactions but MYOB continues to automatically transfer identical amounts being transferred between bank accounts, which I don't want that to happen.  How do I stop this as well.

    Hi KHC19,

     

     There's no option to turn off categorising in MYOB Business, that's only available in AccountRight when accessed in a browser. However, you can turn off the 'Automatically match bank transactions to MYOB bills and invoices' option by going to Banking > Bank rules.

    Hi paulawallace,

     

    Automatic matching is there to help make your reconciliation process smoother, but I get that it’s not for everyone. If you’ve already turned off the feature but transactions are still matching themselves, it might help to clear your browser’s cache and get rid of any bank rules you’ve set up. Give that a try and see if it sorts things out. If not, your best bet is to reach out to our team so we can take a closer look at what’s going on.
