Importing bank statement not working

Hi everyone

For months and months now I have been trying to import bank statements from AMEX into MYOB.

Some days they work fine and others I get a message saying...

"The bank statement file cannot be imported."

There is no rhyme or reason to this.   I export as a .qif the same way I always do and it seems to decide on the day whether it works or not.   Sometimes I have to wait a few days and then it works but I'm trying to import one now from a few days ago and it still won't import. I've tried to re-download new ones.  Sign out / sign in etc

Does anyone else have this issue?  I've tried other formats - converting files to other ones AMEX doesn't export from but MYOB does import,  I still haven't found any luck.

I just want to import a Bl***dy statement!

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi SE2018,

That definitely sounds like a bit of a hassle, especially when everything's been working fine before. The error “The bank statement file cannot be imported” when uploading a QIF file is usually caused by a bank feed still linked (or previously linked) to the same bank account you’re importing into, especially if there are cancelled/old feeds for that account.

To fix this, I'd recommend reaching out to our back-end team. You can reach our Live Chat team via our virtual assistant, MOCA or by submitting a support case via MyAccount.

    Regards,
    Earl
