I am using MYOB Business Pro. When paying employees by the hour, the system is unable to calculate their accrued leaves each week as a percentage of hours worked. The system gives an option to calculate accrual as percentage of wage but not as percentage of hours worked. This is quite frustrating and can be fixed very easily. Please look into this urgently as currently users are forced to enter the data manually.

Thanks so much for calling this out, I can see why it’d be frustrating if you’re paying staff by the hour but the leave isn’t behaving the way you expect.
In MYOB Business, leave can be set to accrue based on hours worked, but this is controlled in the leave pay item setup, not in the pay run itself. For how this works alongside leave loading, see our help page “Leave loading” and scroll to the “Preventing leave accruing on leave loading” section, which explains how to stop leave accruing on loading when your leave is calculated as a percentage of hours worked.

Unfortunately this doesn’t work because when I enter exemptions (like Holiday pay 1.5x or Saturday 1.25x), it excludes the entire hours under that head instead of removing the additional loading of 25% and 50%.
You guys need to fix this issue. It should be a simple thing.
