STP correction of income type for part of the year. EOFY - Payroll

Hi,

I have a worker that changed visas halfway through the year. Her income type went from WHM to standard Gross income. I need to send a correction to STP to split her total income for the year into 2 different types.

How can I do this?

Thanks

  • Hi mel_williambay,

Thanks for asking about adjusting your employee's income type. To make sure everything is correct at STP, you might want to finalise the employee with the old income type first. Then, clear out the pay history for that income type. Once that's done, you can start entering payments with the new income type. But this process could affect tax reporting. So, it's a good idea to speak with your accountant to make sure everything is reported correctly for tax purposes.

Feel free to get in touch if you need more help.

    Cheers,

    Princess

      Hi Princess,

Thanks for getting back to me.

The issue is that I need to backdate the new income type. Is there a way to do that through MYOB?

        Hi mel_williambay,

Thanks for your response! Unfortunately, you can't backdate the new income type directly. What you can do is reverse and reprocess it. If you need further assistance along the way, you can visit our support sites like myob.com/support or myaccount.myob.com to access MOCA, our virtual assistant. If MOCA can't help, you'll be directed to our live chat team automatically.

        Cheers,

        Princess
