Super paid weekly

Hello brains trust.   We are a small business that pays our super through the SCHS quarterly.  With the new change coming on board July 2026 if I go ahead and add the super funds per employee will it automatically pay out from this week.  I was just wanting to do a December Quarterly payment and start the Pay Weekly for the new year.  Does anyone know how this works.  Just don't want to stuff it up for December. Thank you all in advance.

    Great question! Love that you’re thinking ahead. Adding each employee’s super fund doesn’t trigger any payments by itself, nothing gets paid until you actually create and submit a batch. So, adding the details now won’t cause an auto payment this week. You’re fine to do your usual December quarterly payment, then switch to weekly super batches from January if that suits you. Payday super is likely to become mandatory, so moving over early can help you get comfy with the process. We can’t confirm the exact next steps just yet, but here’s a link with more info on the upcoming changes.
