Hi gx4x4
Thanks for your post.
As per checking, when you open Trial balance report it will only show you the YTD Debit and Credit. However, when you click on Compare periods then enter the month and year then hit Apply, it will now show the month's Debit and Credit by clicking the amount written in purple for each column.
Please let me know how it goes.

Hello Doreen,
Not quite sure about this, as it is still not showing an actual debit and credit column on the trial, with the months figures, which is what I am trying to achieve, not the variances for the periods.

Hi gx4x4
Due to the update with new features and performance enhancements, these changes will be visible when using MYOB Business. You may check The Help Article MYOB Business release notes for further information what changes made with the Trial Balance Report.

Good Morning Doreen,
I have read the MYOB business release notes, and I finally see how to read the Trial Balance report, but I dont see how it enhances performance.? Could you please explain that to me, as I feel it has made it time consuming. Basic accounting format for reports , ie Debit- Credit- Balance columns have worked for a long time. Your response would be appreciated

Hi gx4x4
Thanks for your reply.
If you will notice, the new Trial Balance report now shows the YTD of each account instead of having the As at date which you will need to have dates when comparing periods. This allows you to see the Trial Balance report overview.
Best regards,
Doreen
