I would like to add a column in Inventory / Item list next to stock on hand it would be very useful to have a column showing "committed" stock so there would be no need to open multiple items to see accurate stock availability

Welcome to the Community Forum.
I see the value in having a dedicated column for committed items. While you can add a new column by right clicking the column header and selecting the column chooser, currently, there's no option to include item committed values.
I suggest sharing this idea on our Ideas Exchange board for potential future implementation.
