2022.6 Importing sales orders truncates long invoice numbers

Hi, I discovered when migrating sales orders from one file to another, that importing sales invoices works correctly with invoice numbers longer than 8 characters, but importing sales orders truncates the invoice number at 8 characters. Could this please be corrected? Allowing longer invoice numbers is great, but all areas of the program need to enable this.

I also found that exporting orders from the old file includes many other sales transactions, being orders that have since been converted to invoices, and I discovered that this has been an acknowledged issue for a couple of years or more. Could this please be corrected?
