Discounts on Sales Invoices

Hi 

Could you please let me know where I find the P&L account to where the discount amount is recorded from the Disc% column on a Sales invoice?

    Hi LilyUltimate,

     

    Where your sales discount gets linked up really depends on how your file’s set up. Usually, it’ll go to the account called ‘5-2100 Discounts Given’ if you haven’t changed anything. Best bet is to double-check your linked accounts in the file to see where your discounts are actually heading.

    If you want to read up a bit more, the Customer Discounts article has heaps of handy info.
